relations between the Netherlands and Syria. They cover political
affairs, defense, trade and economy, cultural cooperation, consular
affairs and project support.
The relationship between the Netherlands and Syria dates far back in time: 400 years ago, a Dutch consulate was established in Aleppo aimed at the the business interests of the Netherlands in the Levant. Today, the relationship between the Netherlands and Syria goes much further than in the 17th century and, hopefully, this website provides you of a good impression.

Important message about consular services
Herewith we inform you that due to the security situation in Syria the staff of the Dutch Embassy has been reduce in the past weeks. Much to our regret the consular services have to be reduced. The Dutch embassies in Amman (Jordan) and Beirut (Lebanon) take over part of the consular services.
