Economic and trade sectionDoing business with the Netherlands
Trade between two countries is an important part of their bilateral ties. Trade and foreign investments increase economic growth and create income for many citizens. But international trade requires that the potential exporter or investor has substantial and accurate knowledge of the situation in the other country.
One of the tasks of the embassy is therefore to provide information on macro- and micro economic developments, and on specific commercial issues in Syria. The main target group of this information is of course the Dutch business community. But the embassy also provides information on the economic situation in the Netherlands to the Syrian business community.
Economic and commercial information on Syria is given in Dutch on the Dutch pages of this website (see: handel en economie).
The links that are given below provide a wealth of information regarding 'doing business with the Netherlands' for the Syrian business community.
